Very rarely are they available for purchase but this particular specimen is, and features a large, well-terminated, lustrous blocky crystal to 6.8cm in length that has the iconic golden yellow colouration with a 'caramel brown' phantom in the centre. A dusting of red Hematite coats the back. on the side, some matrix is present with cream-coloured Dolomite crystals.
An icon of the West Cumbrian Iron orefields that comes with an old 'Steetley Minerals' display label.
