A 'miniature' specimen of rare muliti-stage Pseudomorph/Epimorph of Chrysocolla & Malachite after Azurite from a discovery around the mid 2010's at the Luputo Mine, Kakumba, Kipushi Territory, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo.

What originally started as tabular, bladed Azurite crystals were replaced by another secondary copper mineral, Malachite, which retained the original crystal shapes of the Azurite (Pseudomorph). A final stage of alteration deposited the beautiful sky blue-turquiose Chrysocolla (Epimorph). The Chrysocolla is unique in the fact that on this specimen it has formed fine, needle-like crystals instead of the usual botryoidal masses/crusts it is commonly known for.

Several bladed 'Azurite pseudomorph' crystal can be seen protuding from the specimen with the largest showing a clearly defined Azurite crystal shape. In exposed areas amongst the Chrysocolla, vibrant Green Malachite can be seen underlying it.

The specimen comes with an acrylic display case and an old 'Rocks Galore' display label.
